Physical Rehabilitation Centers

After back surgery in 2004, I have been going from one physical therapist to another looking for relief from the continuing pain in my back and hips. But the results were all the same, go three times a week and do your exercises. Well, after a time I lost faith in therapy and stopped going. It wasn’t until my husband had a horrible accident that I met Dr. Scott Tannenbaum, Director of Health South Rehabilitation Hospital (now named Encompass) and also a pain management Dr. that my life changed. He examined me and told me I needed to see Dr. Luis Anaya. I reluctantly agreed to see him. Dr. Anaya is like no other physical therapist. Not only does he take a full and complete history, he actually LISTENS to what you say. This man touches the affected areas and FEELS the problem. Then, with his magical fingers, corrects the problem. When I leave his office, I feel hope. Hope that I will actually be fixed. Dr. Anaya is a wonderful, caring and compassionate person. He is easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. With him, it’s not all business. He makes you feel comfortable and reassuring that you will be okay. I have recommended so many people to Dr. Anaya. For me, he is the only therapist I will go to because I know I will be better off than when I started. Moreover, his staff is wonderful, too. They greet you with a smile and are just as compassionate and kind as Dr. Anaya. They go out of their way to help. All in all, it’s a great place to go.

I have been with this office for awhile and have never seen such professionals. Starting with the front desk to the determined and positive therapists. I get quality time and quality care.

I was going over 2 months of being on workers comp for lower back pain. In that time I had been to 2 different physical therapy centers, a back specialist, had 2 xrays, and an MRI, and no one could figure out what was wrong with me.

Dr. Anaya and his professional staff helped identify and begin to correct what was wrong in the very first visit. After just 3 visits I felt like I was in a brand new body. As they continue to help with my mechanics and regaining my strength, I would recommend this place over any other. I could not be happier with my results and outlook to a complete recovery.
