Carol G is tough but loving. Her impact changed my life. Go in honest and listen to her. She knows what shes doing.

Amanda is an incredible therapist and spiritual healer. I would highly recommend her for a variety of people and families. Specifically healing past trama, victims of abuse, children, and couples. She is also well versed in many forms of literature and is a constant student of mental health. I have full faith to recommend her.

As a psychotherapist and life coach myself, I know how hard it can be at times to find a counselor who is effective and understands you. I’m always careful who I refer my patients to because I want to make sure they’ll get great care. That’s why I routinely refer to Dr. Molinari and other members of the counseling team at Stony Brook. I’ve always gotten great feedback from clients I’ve sent to them, and often people who were not achieving good results in therapy elsewhere, have been able to make progress with the counselors at Stony Brook. In addition to accepting many health insurances, they are attentive and caring, and very focused on helping their clients.

I am writing this as a concerned and frustrated client. Every week my wife and I, and sometimes our children, come for counseling. Although we enjoy meeting with our therapist, the only reason we continue here, there is something we do not enjoy, the cigarette smoke. I believe it is Carol who perpetually smokes cigarettes, although I believe adults have the right to do as they wish such as smoke cigarettes, I also believe that I should be able to do what I want such as breath clean air, I also firmly believe that my children should be able to breath clean air also. Every time we arrive I am looking for a way around Carol as she smokes near her vehicle in the parking garage. Parking somewhere else and walking around is not an option. I strongly believe that recovered addicts may be in a very good position to help others struggling with addiction, and mental health; however, I wonder if this therapist is sitting in the right chair? This has severely tarnished my view of the clinic, especially keeping wellness in mind. I am dumbfounded as to why no other working professional that shares this space has not had the courage to say something because I know I am not the only one bothered, until then I am sure business will suffer.
