I was highly disappointed with my experience at Zales. I had received a birthday present watch that was purchased at Zales with a lifetime warranty a little over 5 years ago. two years ago I had gone there to change the battery and they had given me a hard time saying that it is only a two-year warranty as opposed to a lifetime which is what their receipt had said. Apparently two years is a lifetime for Zales, when they looked up the account with the phone number they were able to see that it was supposed to be covered for a lifetime you know for as long as the wash lasts and that changing the battery would be covered under that warranty. about a week ago I went to change my battery again and force you to have the same issue, the woman would not even look up the phone number for the account. She also proceeded to inform me that battery changing is not covered by any kind of warranty deed provided by Zales. instead they would charge you $25 to have your battery on your watch change as opposed to the $12 or $13.50 from the watch repair kiosk right in front of them. the woman was very very rude and I will never shop at Zales again, and we’ll inform all of my friends and family of the poor service received at this particular establishment. and to that woman who was oh so rude, even if you are angry or frustrated with a customer you have to take a deep breath and then speak do not sit there with such a rude to him because it is off-putting and you will lose business and lose sales and therefore lose your job. What a disappointing experience. My fiancee and I went in to order a ring which not only took 3 months to arrive but was not the one we ordered at all and to top it all off the manager was all about excuses and was inconsistent with the price she gave us and did not make an effort to correct anything. I will be sending a detailed email to the corporate offices informing them fully. Judge for yourself , look at the picture below and see what I am concerned about. What a waste of time due to poor and inefficient management. Our sales rep was amazing though.
