Worst company ever!!! Untrained techs who delay, delay and delay. Waited over 6 weeks and 4 visits to finally get my dishwasher fixed. I gave up after a visit from an obviously untrained tech who had no clue what was wrong with my clothes washer. When I called the company, their system was “down” and stayed down for days so they couldnt do anything to help. I gave up in frustration and paid out of pocket to have a real appliance repair company come out.

This has been such an unbelievably frustrating experience. Our refrigerator was functional before the technician came. We arranged for service almost two months ago because the refrigerator was not producing ice. After waiting for two weeks, the initial technician replaced our ice maker without any diagnostics in under 10 minutes and charged us around $350 for the part and service. After two days we confirmed that our refrigerator was still not producing ice, so we scheduled another service. Two weeks later a technician came and diagnosed the unit and decided he would replace the internal cooling system under warranty, but he would need to order the parts and wait for them to arrive. After two more weeks we had received the parts and another technician was dispatched to perform the replacement. He arrived in the late afternoon on Friday January 5th and was there for around an hour. Within 30 minutes of him leaving our refrigerator began audibly leaking refrigerant gas. We opened the doors and windows and called back to explain the situation and try to get the technician to return asap, but we’ve been told over and over that no one will help us until Jan 18th. We’ve incurred additional expenses as a result of being left without a working refrigerator for ten days so far. We will never buy Kenmore products again.

I have had a service contract with A&E since we bought our Kenmore appliances several years ago. A and E is really Sears. Upon delivery we found the refrigerator was scratched. A technician came out and ordered a new door for us. He ordered the wrong color so the next technician ordered a whole new refrigerator for us. The next problem was the control panel for stove. It took 3 different panels and 5 technicians to finally get that problem corrected. Seems that the technicians did not know how to hook up the wires. We are now going through a problem with our refrigerator and 2 technicians have said the freezer is working properly. However we are still getting frost buildup in the compartment and the ice cream in the freezer is like soup. It is impossible to speak to anyone about your problem except for someone who will schedule a technician to come to your house, It usually takes 7 to 10 days to get an appointment. Do I sound frustrated? Yes I am. We have had other problems with our Kenmore appliances and some of the technicians have been able to correct them. However the bad ones seem to be more prevalent. Given our history with the quality of the technicians that come to our house and the quality of the kenmore appliances I do not recommend doing business with A & E and suggest you purchase something other than Kenmore appliances.
