Dr Stern’s Visual Health Center

This facility location is no longer there. Moved with no notification and was terrible service.

Here it goes. I went to appt and optometrist was very good. Front office personnel friendly.
With that being said to get my glasses not so good. I got my glasses 2 weeks later and they were defective. So the person helping me said he had to send glasses back and they would express them. Well it’s been over a week and still no glasses. My original glasses broke and I can’t wear contacts all the time. They need to improve on the time it takes to get glasses back. And the wait is anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Too long if you ask me.

Dr. Gives a wonderful examination and the office is very nice.
However the doctor gave me a ridiculous price for my glasses.

Dr Plana is a great Dr and would recommend her. the only reason giving this a 4 star is the waiting can be long.

I would stay as far away from this place as I possibly can! “Dr.” Santoni is the WORST “doctor” I have ever dealt with. My little brother needed to be dialated before have an exam, and my mother questioned why my little brother needed to have it since no other doctor has ever done this before. This “doctor” went completely ape. She started to scream and would not let my mother talk at all, when all she did was ask a question. The “Dr.” said that she had no right to question her, and kept talking and screaming over her.

Top this off, the “Dr.” denied him medical care, and said my mother claimed she was worried about blindness. My mother never even thought that was true; the “Dr.” made that up. That “Dr.” threatened to have her removed for getting mad. This was the WORST medical care I have ever seen a doctor give.

I had my exam, and the service was okay. She was discussing that case with my little brother with me behind closed doors, which is a violation of HIPAA and patient privacy. A report has already been made, as no one would let us talk to a manager to handle this “Dr.”

This “Dr.” also said that I did not need glasses for my vision all the time, which is not true as I have had glasses for vision for 10 years. I also supposedly had 20/20 in one eye… I told her I cannot see far away at all day or night and she totally ignored my concern and kept talking.

So if you want to see a doctor, ask for her partner. Oh wait don’t do that; this “Dr.” said her partners do not provide quality medical care if they do not do dilation before the exam. This doctor is very disrespectful and very unprofessional. She said to me in my exam room that she has been practicing for 23 years… I never would have guessed with how nasty she was.

I do not know how the other doctor is; I am going to get a 2nd opinion likely somewhere else. I also know they will likely reply to this review, but they will likely make something up to flip it back on us and shift blame. Stay away from here unless you enjoy mistreatment, unprofessionalism, and being threatened to be removed by authorities for questioning medical care.
