Plato’s Closet Plantation

Skip buying expensive new dresses at the mall. Plato’s closet has gently used clothing that looks FABULOUS and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to get.

I came in here a few days ago and I realized they didn’t pay me for all the clothes I gave them. They gave me $40 (ish) dollars for 12 items of clothes but upon further inspection I realized they took SEVERAL other articles of clothing including several shirts and a onesie. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but this is SO SKETCHY. It’s disorganized and with no clear management inside this Plato’s Closet. I really wanted to like this place but I’m upset and extremely disappointed.

UPDATE: The manager from Plato’s Closet called me and informed me that it was an honest mistake on their part. She handled it with grace and maturity and the situation has been resolved. Thank you 🙂

This location was amazing! I drove all the way from Miami to visit them and the customer service along with management was excellent in helping me with my shopping needs. Highly recommend them

Brought in some new clothes and some used, the new clothes from American apparel with the tag that I bought online and never returned nor used because it was small, anyway none were accepted. Don’t waste your time at this place. The service is horrible and they choose arbitrarily what they want, I waited over an hour for them to say they can’t accept the bag of clothes, and the store also smelled terrible. Never again. There are way better thrift stores in south Florida than this place.

Has items clearly marked as clearance but when you go to check out they tell you it’s not clearance and if you would still like to purchase the item at “FULL PRICE” why is it marked as “clearance” then? Other than that, it’s a guy that works there that’s super nice and always happy, just watch for the girls, they are a bit mean & rude. Clothes look washed out & some has holes all at regular price. I’d rather go to America thrift!
