Dr. Simon is an amazing psychologist! He really cares about the kids and families he treats. I am fighting with my former husband in a super high conflict divorce and Dr. Simon has been there to help me have a strong relationship with my daughter. He cares so much and it’s amazing how he deals with all of the anger with respect and compassion. I am so grateful he is in my daughter’s corner, and mine! We would not be where we are today without Dr. Simon!
Saw Dr. Simon in reunification therapy. Had not seen my kids in two years. It’s because of him and him alone that I am back with my kids. I owe him everything. He is amazing, professional, and always works towards helping parents have a real relationship with their kids.
Reunification therapy is a difficult process for families and truly skilled therapists are hard to find. Most do not take private insurance resulting in a financial hardship for the family. Dr. Simon is skilled and compassionate clinician and works well with these often-angry parents. I would highly recommend him.
A+ for Dr. Matthew Simon! I enjoy going to him for talk therapy ~ he’s easy to talk with: professional and smart, he listens well and gives me clarity on situations. He offers wonderful and helpful advice, feedback and guidance. He’s caring, articulate, dependable, confidential and compassionate ~ he empowers me on my journey. I always feel great when I leave the session: such a refreshing and positive experience!
The negative reviews on this Doctor are 100% accurate. I also deeply regret trusting Dr. Simon with reunification therapy for my daughter. First off, the Doctor doesn’t remember previous sessions or things that you have gone over with him that are privy to progressing in therapy. Then, he will tell you that your insurance hasn’t been covering previous sessions…when I spoke to the office manager about it she stated that everything was covered and up to date (which the insurance company backed up). But worst of all, the Doctor flip flops on statements and advice he gives and then will tell the other parent something completely opposite, causing more friction in the family. Co-parenting with my ex husband became even worse due to the Doctors advise given. We went into therapy bad and came out 10 x worse! Now I’m not even on speaking terms with my daughter after the last session. I can’t believe this Doctor is still practicing and recommend by attorneys since he is only making things worse for families seeking help. I was advised to file a motion three times by him and then he told me he never said that. It should be reported that he never gives you the full hour and charges your insurance for it. I don’t know how he is getting away with everything he is doing to families in need. It’s sad and he should be held accountable for his wrong doing. Bad reviews are not enough, this needs to be reported so no more families can be put through this.
