•Interior and layout of the apartment is great! 2 big walk in closet in the master bedroom, master bedroom is big.
•outside of the building needs to be painted
•the laundry room- good prices on the machines , dryer dries Clothes really good but sometimes the machine will take money from the card and not start.
•bug extermination in the Apts are not consistent as it should be a monthly maintenance as for 1 it is in the leasing contract and 2 , their are 8 Apts per building unit . You will have a roach issue .
•the maintenance workers JOSE and LAWSON are great!!!!!! They are very attentive with any maintenance you may need in your unit.

I’m coming to the end of my 3 year stay at Summerfield and I feel it’s my due diligence to leave my honest review. Reason I’m moving is because I’m in the process of home-Buying. Reviews help me make concise decisions, so I’m happy to help anyone as well.
PROS:
Effective Management: I’ve seen 1 managerial change since I’ve been here. The past and current staff have always been efficient, helpful and prompt. The current Property manager, Jackie, is by far the best Manager I’ve ever rented under. She’s prompt. Gets things done (like right away). Seriously, she may have worked at Jimmy Johns at one point in her life – she’s fast! Lol. She’s professional, which I appreciate – cause I like to be direct when it comes to where I choose to live and place my children. She’s patient and EFFICIENT. She’s on top of billing, credits, she’s send you notices of account balances without you asking. Truly a great worker. Never had a bad experience.
Shout out to the 2 maintenance personnels. Great gentlemen! Got things done the same day I reported it. Absolutely appreciated it guys!
INTERIOR/EXTERIOR: Outside location is great. Many stores and shopping centers around. Quiet neighborhood. May have the ONE person singing loudly or loud car, but I count my blessings and choose my battles. It truly happened maybe 7 times while living here for 3 years. I’ll take it. Night time are always quiet! Apartments aren’t door to door so I literally never heard my neighbors business.
The inside of the apartments (I lived in a 2/2).. OMG. Loved. So spacious. Storage space plus Balcony. Master bedroom is large, 2 closets. Wooden floor. Granite counters. And when I moved here in 2016 it was $1225 for all that. Rent went up a bit, but Florida market isn’t something we can tackle. It is what it is. Overall, one of the most up to date apartments in the area at the lowest cost.
PEOPLE:
Everyone stays to themselves. Neighbors don’t talk much. But I am not complaining. Everyone respected one another.
CONS – and of course .. not everything is always peaches and cream.
LAUNDRY ROOM:
I had constant issues. Machines constantly didn’t work. Wasted so much money on the machines. They’re located outside on the side of the buildings and there’s so many residents so some times you couldn’t catch one available or people don’t come get their clothes in time. Pro Tip: do laundry on a Monday and you’ll be there all alone. At the end of the day – go to the laundry down the street on Oakland Park. Really great machines! And cheaper.
Maybe management can look into upgrading the washers. Then this place will be top notch.
INFESTATIONS:
I have experienced roach issues. I hate to say this because it brings the PROS down, but I want to be honest. Although, there was monthly pest control visits – the roach issue can become an infestation issue. It was inevitable almost. So I had to do this (and I recommend everyone do this too): do your own roach upkeep to keep them out! Do RAID sprays every 3 months in every room. Our RAID baits around the home and switch them out every 6 months. Of course, keep clean. Especially kitchen! No food left out. Along with monthly pest control you should be good. I recommend doing this plan REGARDLESS if you see zero roach. This is like a guard to ensure you’ll never have to worry.
That’s all I have. Hope this was helpful.

Apartments spacious. Maintenance does a great job. Very professional management. No washer or dryer in apartments. The washers and dryers are in separate rooms at the end of the buildings. You have to pay to use them. Other than a small community pool there are no other amenities. No security. Only 1 parking spot per apartment. Exterminator comes regularly.

The Community Is Quiet. The Parking Sucks. The AC Hardly Worked And Maintenance Was Ok.
