After straining my back, I had been having sharp lower back pain in my left side that would travel down my leg. After a few months, the pain continued down my leg, and I would constantly feel pins and needles. Mentally and physically, I was feeling defeated. I wasn’t working out as much because of the pain and I was constantly stressing about how the pain was affecting me at work and in school. After being referred to Dr. Ara, I finally reached out, which was the best decision I ever made. Dr. Ara would always reach out and check up throughout the progression of my treatment. She works with you to make a plan of care that meets your goals and gets you on the path to recovery. Not only do the resources she gives you help with your specific injury, but they also help you moving forward to prevent further injury and to understand how just little things like having a strong mindset, giving yourself self care, and eating healthier can help in the course of your treatment. I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially anyone who feels defeated and as if they are stuck with the pain they are experiencing. With the help of Dr. Ara, my back pain is almost nonexistent and even if I do experience some pain on days where I am more stressed, I know how to manage it with the exercises and techniques I was shown in sessions.

Dr Ara was referred to me after I had physical therapy following a shoulder and neck surgery. I had rehabbed the individual areas but still wanted my recovery to go further. I never knew there were movement specialists and how much of a deep understanding of the body someone could have. I lived with pain for about 20 years prior to my surgeries so I have several issues that I need to work on. I am getting better with each passing week and I really have Dr. Ara to thank. I am now able to work longer hours and lift things again. I’m able to sit in a car or at a restaurant without feeling uncomfortable. I can workout and feel a good sore and get stronger. I would highly recommend her services to anyone that wants to feel better daily and not deal with chronic pain. Her teachings will be used throughout the rest of your life and incorporated into new daily habits, all of which will enable your body to move as it’s meant to.

I sought out Dr. Aracelly as I have known her for years since we went to PT school together. With that said, I know the importance of rehab after injury. 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer while I was pregnant. After undergoing yet another Cesarean followed by 5 other breast and reconstruction surgeries, my body was all out of whack. Ara helped me get my body back to working together and decrease the pain I was having. I have now been able to return to my vigorous workouts!

Had a great experience here. Went in after getting an MRI showing a fully torn labrum in my right shoulder, the Dr. I saw told me I would definitely need surgery due to the extent of the tear. I decided to try PT as a last ditch effort to avoid the knife and my friend had spoken highly of Ara and her techniques. Aside from the great personal energy she gives off, she got 80% of my shoulder use/strength back within a few months (do your exercises at home!) and about 6 months later I’m at 100% use with zero pain, even while doing a fully loaded shoulder press. I would recommend this place to any of my friends/family in a heartbeat.

I started treatment with Ara a few months ago after being diagnosed with a sports hernia that every orthopedist I saw said would require surgery. After being told to start physical therapy so I could complete my season before having surgery, I was referred to Ara by my strength coach as an alternative to the traditional pt that consists of ultrasound and the same exercises everyone gets. This was a great decision – Ara’s holistic pt methods and explanations helped me gain a greater understanding of how my entire body functions and what was causing my pain – something the orthopedists had no explanation for. With Ara’s treatment and guidance while I was away competing, I was able to complete my season with personal best results, and am on the road to recovery without needing surgery.
