Nicole at Window 12 was extremely helpful today. We had a lot of truck titles to transfer over and she was extremely helpful and did it all with a smile on her face.

Surprisingly we were helped by polite, knowledgeable and friendly employees. I was expecting a DMV negative experience. Instead they were very helpful and we accomplished our goal somewhat quickly.

Usually this place is a lot faster than other tag agency’s
However today 1/15/20 I went here to renew my tag and unbeknownst to me my tag was accidentally cancelled. Obviously not by me as I was told there was a mistake on there side. Not plantation in particular but the state.
What disappoints me is that I was told to bring in the plate without any tools to remove the screws, luckily someone had a screw driver for me to remove the plate. Prior to that I asked if a manager or supervisor could simply look at the actual plate affixed to my car and was told absolutely not. I also informed them that I didn’t have any tools on me to remove the tag. They didn’t care. Afterwards I had to fill out an affidavit stating that I didn’t cancel my plate which I did and needed some help over the phone to get some info cause they were not in the mood to help me. I was told by the guard to put the phone away. There is no security breach or any reason to not be able to use a phone in a respectable manner in any building. So I was delayed in getting the info.
Bottom line is that the plantation office has not been good to me today in assisting. There customer service was so low and lack of care Appalls me. I have been here for 3 hrs cause of the stated mistake. I have been given names and will file grievances with the proper superiors.

Overall, I’d say about a 3.5 stars. I think the experience really depends on the clerk you get. I do like that this is located in a suburban area and there is plenty of easy parking available.

When we first moved to FL two years ago, we came in here to get our plates. It’s kind of annoying to have to come here, in NY and CA this is all handled at the DMV. The gentleman that helped me was friendly and willing to print one of their documents out. My husband encountered a more hostile/lazy woman who wasn’t as helpful.

We came in here the other day to turn in the Florida plate for a car we do not plan to replace while in this state. I was DREADING it, but it actually worked out really well.

We came in with the plate, spoke to the clerk at the check in desk. She was able to take our plates and give us a receipt that we had turned them in. I was concerned about having that receipt for the insurance company to prove we no longer owned the car but they didn’t ask for it.

We had just paid the plate sticker renewal fee and hoped to get that $ back, but couldn’t because we didn’t have the registration form with us. So try to remember to bring the registration form with you if you are getting rid of the plate, you may be able to get a refund. So we lost about $36, oh well, this annual fee is more like $170 in California so I’ll deal.

We were only here 7 minutes tops, so not bad.

The best DMV location I have found in south Florida. Came in with no appointment and was done within 45 minutes. I came about 2:30pm and the line wasn’t that bad. Staff was friendly.
