I could not fit my praise for this place in one paragraph. It has the feeling of being a welcomed guest at the house of a friend. It has a cozy family-run feeling and an exotic ambience. Our mint tea was served from what looked like a fine tea set and not a stainless pot as you might find in a Chinese restaurant. Our hostess and server was a thoughtful, classy, and beautiful Moroccan lady with a slight French accent. Our food, tajines of a half chicken and seafood was exquisitely prepared and authentic. The real shock was the affordability. Dinner for two was well below $50, allowing me to be generous with the tip and still walk away feeling like I had scored a bargain. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I loved the ambience of that place! Super cozy and the food is delicious! I tried the couscous with lamb and ig was delightful. Their tea is exquisite and the deserts though not so traditional was very good. Definitely going back when I crave oriental food.

Very nice. Just had soup and the Moroccan homemade bread. Lots of flavor. Will be back to try dinner.

I ordered takeout (they deliver through Door Dash and Grub Hub), but the restaurant is lovely. Beautifully decorated. And the food (I ordered kafta tajine) is delicious and filling. Will definitely eat there again. Grabbed a coupon for $12 off my first order of $15+ through Grub Hub while there, and will definitely make use of it soon.

Part of my experiential learning for my term project is tasting authentic Moroccan cuisine. So I dragged my parents with me to Sunrise from North Miami! From the previous reviews, I can see it’s been very popular and so I was not too worried about finding something to eat. I already had an idea that I’ll be trying a dish with lamb!

The restaurant was easy to find, and we were greeted as soon as we walked in by, Rasheeda! She took our drink orders after seating as at a corner booth, with posh and elegant throw pillows. The ambiance was comfortable and hospitable. We tried an eggplant appetizer, ordered a medium pot of mint tea and we all had different lamb shank dishes. Mine was with prunes and almonds, my dad had the one with couscous, and my mom had veggies with hers.

We found the mint tea to be perfectly delightful as well as the dishes to be hearty and fall-off-the-bone tender! The saffron rice was perfectly cooked and tasting the couscous was divine.

Noelis was very helpful and informative, just like Rasheeda and was able to give their insights on the cuisine and where I could also inquire about experiencing a religious ceremony at a local mosque. All in all, a wonderful and enlightening experience.
