Why i am wasting my time writing this review i am not even sure, but i figured that i should share my story about davie golf club. It started back in august of 2016 when me and 3 of my soon to be lifelong friends and top players on the golf team of local high school western high began our high school golf journeys. As players on a local team, the general manager of davie golf at the time (back in 2016) danny boswell, may he rest in peace, welcomed us with open arms and made sure we felt that davie golf was our home course. During the time we knew danny before he passed away, he was a very involved and hilarious general manager and friend to our dominant golf team. After danny passed away, which was just before our senior golf season, a new general manager took his place and is still general manager to current date. His name is patrick ofee, and unlike our late friend danny boswell he made it pretty clear that he was not interested in our golf team or golf in general for that matter. Patrick is a very stuck-up individual who has little regard for others, and since his debut as GM he has done nothing but destroy the once beautiful golf course we called home. One day patrick caught us four on the golf course at around 5:30 in the evening playing a little golf as we usually do. now as a local club, me and my 3 friends used to do a little work for the cart guys in exchange for some free golf. our late friend danny boswell would also oversee this and knew very well what we would do and encouraged this as it kept us kids on the golf course, engaging in physical activity, and out of trouble. The day that we were caught by patrick, we were told to immediately go into the pro shop and pay for the golf we had not paid for, but never usually did because we were the local golf team kids. So as the respectable young men that we are, we did not argue with patrick, and went straight to the pro shop and paid for our golf. Seeing at the time that patrick was very upset we paid for our golf, and then decided to pack it up and head home. As we each exited the pro shop after paying for the golf, patrick spoke to us one by one as we walked to our trucks, and had nothing but nonsense to say to us. Statements such as “You guys are thieves” , “I don’t like your kind” , “You guys think this is all a joke” were shouted at us by the wannabe tough guy demeanor that patrick portrays. We were ultimately banned from davie golf after almost 6 years of calling davie golf our home course. Im not sure about any other golfers out there but any real golfer would know that patrick is not the way a general manager of a golf course should conduct business. My opinion, davie golf has one good employee since danny boswells passing, and that employee is RANDY MULLEN. He is as stand up and professional as they come and is a true friend to me and my buddies. Patrick has ruined davie golf, and has no idea how to run a golf course. I hope that nobody wastes their time going to this goat farm, and i wouldn’t go back there if i was unbanned and was given free golf for life. Don’t waste your time with this place unless you need some expert golf advice from pga certified professional randy mullen. And if you happen to go play this total GOAT FARM you should tell patrick what a stupid and dumb idea it was to ban the only junior golfers that ever went to davie golf, and kept the game alive and the course looking good.

Nice walking near a trailer community thru well preserved little bridges and dirt trails. I found most small canals topped with wild vegetation, and many small rabbits along the way. Just about 3 miles of refreshing views and fresh air.

The course is in good shape. It is fun and challenging— especially the undulating greens. It definitely plays like a much longer course due to the amount of water hazards and OB. However at this time of the year with all of the snowbirds in town, the pace of play is exceedingly slow. My Tuesday afternoon round was on pace for close to 6 hours. There should be rangers out there speeding people up. I will not be back here until the off-season.

Edit: Played the course today and the pace was improved. I saw marshals around the course several times. Kudos for making the experience better. The fairways and greens could have used a little work but overall, this course remains a good value.

Good tee boxes and fairway turf. Greens slow and need weed control. Overall good value.
