Dr. Amy L. Sonnenblick, MD

I have a been a patient of Dr. Sonnenblick for over 20 years. Throughout the years she has shown me honesty, caring and compassion. While going through a Breast Cancer diagnosis, she was my rock! I am forever grateful to Dr. Amy Sonnenblick. 😍

I came as a first time patient for a yearly well-woman checkup. No tests/blood work were performed during the checkup, which was agreed on with the nurse. Two weeks later, I received an invoice from Quest diagnostics requiring me to pay 300$ for lab tests that were supposedly requested by the doctor. However, those tests were NEVER performed: neither during my checkup at Dr’s office, nor at Quest labs. I called Dr Sonnenblick’s office to inform them about this error, and they told me to fax them my invoice (they don’t use e-mail, are we in 1990s?). After that I never heard back from them, they also don’t answer or return my calls. The only reason I found out about this charge is because my insurance company declined the claim – otherwise the insurance would have paid for the services that were never performed and nobody would find out. It’s either insurance fraud or unprofessionalism of the administrative staff. Either way, stay away, not trustworthy.

Dr. Sonnenblick is a rare breed of doctor that goes above and beyond to help her patients, listen, takes care of their concerns and treats their whole self. How often do you hear of a doctor that actually answers the phone–just to be in tune with her patients? Her expertise is unparalleled but more importantly–she honestly cares. I have been seeing her for years now and there is no really other doctor that compares. She’s compassionate, kind and her and her staff go out of their way to make you feel heard and cared for. Wish more doctors were like her.

I loved Dr. Sonnenblick, she was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. However, the staff and office experience was a nightmare every time i went. The office technology is extremely antiquated, they don’t accept credit cards, they don’t do anything electronically and the wait times were sometimes an hour+. I kept going for another year because it was convenient and close to my office but after my last two experiences with the staff I won’t be going back.

Very attentive staff and will always find a way to help.
