Really want to love this new doctor’s office. They seem quite good but we had a misunderstanding re their referral process.

Wanted to charge me $175 for my free yearly checkup because I’m a new patient. I’ve never had a doctor try to do that before. I also specifically made the appointment for my yearly exam weeks ago, and they sent me for blood work (which I probably have to pay for now) and didn’t tell me anything about this ‘new patient’ fee.

The curly hair, older woman receptionist (who obviously has some power issues) is so so terrible. She kept telling me I had a low deductable plan so I had to pay full price. My deductible is $1000 for the year, is a gold plan, and it has 3 free primary care appointments included on it. It says all that right on the card. She said that she would call my insurance to check, but she doesn’t think it would count for a “new patient visit.” Why??? What kind of sense does that make. She was so rude and gross through the whole thing, so I just took my card back and left.

Dr. Simek cares about each and every one of his patients. His individual care is outstanding. He takes his time to really address your concerns and alleviate them. At Plantation Medical you are not just another patient or number. You are part of a family. The staff is incredible and caring. There is a warmth to their office that surpasses any medical facility or Drs. office I have ever known. They truly care about your over all well being

I just want to share my review for Doctor Simek and all the nurse practitioners as well as Kayla and Randi,
They have always made feel like family and always always take the best care of me. I had searched for years for a good Doctor and I suppose it was worth the wait because I got not just a great Doctor but a great medical family!

The dr and medical aasistant are very knowledgable and the staff is very helpful and pleasant..
