Plantation Pediatrics

The doctors are great and the girls that answer the phone have been accommodating and pleasant. My issue is I just found out that after switching my insurance a year ago that they are not in my network. So you mean to tell me that when they verify my insurance they are not aware of this??? Honestly I probably should have called the insurance company myself to confirm if they were in network or not however just like everyone else I am busy with work and life. I called the office and spoke with the office manager to ask her why they failed to tell me that they are not in network the last 4 visits this year and her reply was “ it’s the patients responsibility “. I’m sorry but I would think that this would be something that they could have at least mentioned to me the past visits. I am an office manager myself and I would never handle a situation by blaming the customer. Your job is to solve problems, customer service and keep your patients properly informed. Maybe that’s just the way I see it but who knows. I actually hung up the phone and said to myself I hope this call was recorded so that she could see how unprofessional her response was.

They were able to answer questions over the phone before. Now they said as a new policy asking the nurse anything is a billable service and I must come in for an appointment to ask a question. Anytime I call they place me one a long hold as I have been placed this very moment and I feel the need to write the review. I do not feel they take their time with the patients. They turn off the lights in the office to save money which is VERY wierd. Anytime you walk in it is completely dark. The only good doctor is the male dr, dr. Sanchez. They always try to put me with the woman because she always has a clear wide open schedule even though I told them not to place me with her, and they said there is no way to make a note on my chart that I just have to tell them every time. I told them I am searching for other offices and they said they would be happy to transfer my information over to a new doctor very sarcastically. No personal connection at all. I do not recommend.

I came in with my 5 year old son super sick WITH an appointment. A lady came rushing in speaking Spanish to the lady at the front desk. She was obviously in a hurry and didn’t have an appointment from what I could understand ( I understand Italian so it was not hard to decode) , I could understand enough that the lady explained she had not much time because she had to be somewhere , her son then comes waltzing ( about 16 yrs old ) in and they take him inside immediately while side eyeing me thinking I didn’t understand what was going on. This lady should’ve had to WAIT just like everyone else, I don’t care the circumstance. UNPROFESSIONAL.

If I could give 0 start I would. This people are unprofessional it takes a whole lot of patients to request for appointment or anything else. there is never appointments available and when they do it is far from the day I call. I have called a couple of times for my nice and nephew because they are sick and they don’t even ask to do a walk in. I had gone to the Emergency because I don’t want to deal with them. Thank God My Sister in Law changed there Primary doctor to Pedriatics associates.

I have been with Dr. Nunez and Dr Sanchez since 1998 and can honestly say my 3 children have had the best medical care possible each and every time we have been there. Staff is friendly and the office definitely has a family atmosphere. Finding an exceptional doctor you trust with your children who also has a great bedside manor and will treat you like family is extremely rare but you will find it at Plantation Pediatrics!
