Sunrise Dan Pearl Library

Sunrise Dan Pearl is currently under great management, innovative activities for children. Someone commented here that there’s a small collection of books….. let me remind you that Broward County has an inter-library loan department with endless options.

I haven’t spent a lot of time in there but I’ve been in it a few times to pick up books on reserve. I’ve walked around the place to check it out when picking up these books. This library is very attractive inside, very clean and bright. I would spend more time there, if I had the need to. The library staff I’ve encountered there have been super friendly and helpful. The only reason not giving it 5 stars is I don’t spend much time in there, pretty much in and out. If I ever spend more time there and have more contact with staff, I will give more input. Also the parking can be tricky. One time I went to pick up a book and could not find a parking space available anywhere. I mean there was not one open space. I was told the nearby buildings sometimes have events and it clogs up the library’s parking lot. It really did !

One of the nicer libraries I’ve been to. Bright and inviting with ample computer stations and even chess tables. Well organized and clean. Also, they have comfy chairs to read or hang out throughout.

Quiet, peaceful and a hidden gem. This library is amazing place to study as its usually quiet and you can reserve a room by yourself!

To be totally honest, I avoid going to the library and instead use Broward’s online system to get e-books.

Occasionally a book will come out and I can only get the hard copy, when that happens I come to this branch.

The library was closed for a few months for some remodeling, but I didn’t notice any huge changes when I visited today.

This business is located amongst a couple of other city of Sunrise government businesses.

The library has a dated look, but seems to be otherwise clean and kept up. There are a couple of sections with some comfier chairs.

The library was fairly quiet when I quickly visited mid-day. When we lived in Northern California our library was a popular hangout for the homeless population, but this place was much emptier.

They do have some computers available for public use. You can also pay to have some
Items printed.

There is a sizable section of DVDs to rent.

They also have a couple of quiet study rooms, some magazines and a new book section.

I recommend going online and reserving your books ahead of time.

It’s free to use the library, so I can’t really complain too much.
