This is the worst animal hospital in Broward county. Employees are extremely rude! They are always booked 2-3 weeks out for appointments and when you arrive for your appointment you are waiting over an hour to be seen. If I wasn’t forced to come here because of a Petland I would never step foot through their door. They are money hungry and lie about test results! Always get a second opinion

I would NEVER take my pet to this hospital, as the staff wants to ROB you blind, because they do not feel the need to get prior authorization when administer any medications or services PRIOR to rendering services, in order to have the registered owner approve the charges. SHAME ON YOU ALL for not even offering an apology, when you are the one’s that messed up!!!!!!!!!! I will never recommend your services I know…!!!

I brought home my little girl, Cassie Czar, an early birthday present during this Pandemic. Like any newborn human child, there has to be a followup with their pediatrician. I took my 8 week old Shetland Sheepdog to her first doctor’s visit. In the midst of social distance, as a parent, I had to wait outside in my car. However, the staff and doctors did a great job in providing the necessary link to register. They consistently communicated through phone and curbside. Cassie was given a good report and I was given instruction regarding her future health care. I will continue to use Sunset Animal Hospital and would recommend anyone to consider using this facility for their furry child healthcare. #ThanksTeam

The staff and doctors are amazing and wonderful with my dog. Every vet you go to has wait time to be seen and I can tell you that any wait time experienced is due to the time taken by the doctor and staff to care for my pet and make sure I understand everything that’s going on. Dr. Polit & her associates are extremely knowledgeable and professional. My dog is happy and eager to walk into the office due to the nature and gentleness of the staff. I recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a vet/staff that truly cares and loves animals.

Dr Polit is/was the vet for my childhood pets, and, once I got pets and moved back to the area, she became the primary vet for my cats. She helped me through a severe behavioral issue with Elliot (the cat on the left), and she worked with the specialist to resolve it. In my opinion, that’s going above and beyond.
Before I adopted Elliot, my cat Sadie (cat on the right) had been going to Dr Polit for routine care and the occasional illness. The wait times can be a bit long, but I think the day and time that you go plays a big part in that. They also do drop-offs, which has proven helpful to me. I don’t know enough about pricing at other vet offices, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten out of there without paying at least $100. On a positive note, they offer packages and loyalty points to help alleviate the cost, and Dr Polit has been kind enough to waive fees or lower costs in order to make sure you can afford the bill. The vet tech Kerstin and front desk associate Samantha were very friendly and helpful during my appointment today, too.
All in all, I’d recommend Sunset because I trust Dr Polit with the health and well-being of my pets.
