Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft. Lauderdale-Plantation

Renovated poorly , New paint just slapped on over old poor patch jobs in rooms. Nice outside pool area.

The hospitality was great. The staffs are pleasant and friendly. The rooms are clean and freshly scented. A warm breakfast is served every morning.

Everything you would come to expect from your holiday inn chains. Nothing more, nothing less. Bi-lingual, eng, span. Friendly staff. Night security

The good: Clean rooms, nice fitness center with free weights and a pretty good breakfast.

The bad: No microwave in the rooms, you have to use the one in the lobby. The pool was being renovated during our entire stay.

A good value for the money, but it’s an aging property that desperately needs a refresh. The room doors squeak like I’ve never heard before at any hotel. There is no safe in the rooms. The hallways look and smell old. People in neighboring rooms made a lot of noise in the hallways (especially in the morning). The free breakfast is truly bad – it should be free.

The showers were surprisingly really good – powerful stream and very hot water if needed (big thumbs up). Parking is plenty and very convenient.

The front desk personnel lean towards being curt and a bit unfriendly. The room cleaning staff is not too friendly, but they do a great job cleaning.

If you care more about price, then this is a decent hotel that’s a few step up from a cheap motel.
