Panera Bread

I’m always ordering only from this spot on University in Davie. most of the time the same sandwich and every time this sandwich completely different with less meat on it or less of the other ingredients. Today I’ll say I spent $10 for grilled piece of bread with mayo on it and missing ingredients. Disappointed.

This is one of the better Panera stores. It’s a shame for the manager that it appears good help is hard to find these days. But despite the high turnover, those at the cashier’s station do their best to understand and “input” your order, hand you your coffee or other beverage cups, then trot back to prepare your bakery item while the buzzer-thingy they’ve handed you sits patiently in your hand waiting to let you know your main item, or entree, is ready.

Periodically, we’ll order something to split–a salad or a sandwich, for example. When I ask for an extra fork or spoon so we can “manage” our portions they’re handed to me promptly even though I’m interrupting the next order they’ve gone on to prepare.

I like this Panera Bread store. If I must criticize any element, it would be that tables could be cleaned more often. It’s not unusual for there to be plenty of open yet still-to-be cleaned tables.

I ordered a souffle and a bagel with cream cheese. After putting the souffle and the bagel in the bag, I watch the cashier reach for the cream cheese out of the low fridge under the bagel rack, drop it, pick it up, look at it, look at me, and drop it in the bag. Right on top of my food.

Not naming the cashier because I am not going to be responsible for someone losing their job, but I would recommend this Panera reminds their employees of proper hygiene, and would recommend you avoid this Panera if possible.

This place is generally very forgetful and negligent when it comes to specialized orders. I typically order a bowl but leave out a few ingredients and it’s as if I never told them what I wanted. Additionally, if you order from the bakery 9 times out of 10 they will forget to give you your bakery item. In the picture you can see an example. I ordered a bowl with no tomatoes or Greek yogurt and as you can see they ignored my request. They are not always so bad but it’s becoming more frequent recently.

Absolutely delicious food and the taste was so fresh. This location is extremely clean and nice and the food was prepared so fast.
