Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Plantation

I just want to warn people that if you book a room with residence inn Marriott and it says it’s pet friendly
Beware. I booked through Priceline
Said the hotel was pet friendly
If you call a $100 non refundable pet fee pet friendly. I’ve never paid more than $20. It was over $30 more than the room itself. Needless to say we didn’t stay there. No refund/exchange from either the hotel or Priceline

The staff here is incredible. Sharon and Ariel were constantly helping and offering special treats. We stayed for a few weeks for work and they were beyond wonderful. Lovely staff and great, big, fully stocked rooms!!!

I stayed here a few years ago, and my wife got mugged right at the front door in the morning. The Marriot was totally unsympathetic. This place is totally unsafe and very dark parking lot at night. Absolutely no security, except the odd camera. Stay here at your own risk.

The continental breakfast was delicious with a large spread. I was able to eat with no concern for my nut and other allergies. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of outlets in the room. The only negative things were the room temperature (cold) and the door in the bedroom opened awkwardly into room (blocking access to the bathroom).

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and i believe the staff here is one of the main reasons why I’m always going back. They (the entire staff ) are friendly, efficient and they take pride in making their guest feel welcome. I want to say a special thank you to Savina at the front desk for making my family and I feel at home away from home. You guys keep up the good work so i can continue to recommend your hotel.
